Kids Returns Policy and Procedure
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN FULL FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION
QUICK REFERENCE:
1. Customers wishing to return eligible goods* must do so within
7 days of receipt.
2. Customers must contact us** first for a Returns Authorisation
number and quote this on the
package. Please state your original Order Number when contacting
us.
3. The reason for return and authorisation number should be noted
on the Packing Slip/Returns Form,
which should be enclosed and sent to the address stated on the form.
4. Returned goods must be unworn / unused, and received by us in
original, re-saleable condition
with all labels and packaging intact. Therefore, it is important
the goods are packaged properly.
5. It is recommended that goods are returned by an insured service
so you may claim against the
carrier for any loss.
6. Proof of Posting must be retained, as you may need to provide
proof that the goods were returned
within the 7 day period; otherwise, you will not be entitled to
a refund.

*ELIGIBLE GOODS – eligible goods are those
items supplied from stock and do not apply to items
made to order, nor to special orders placed solely on your behalf.
Such items are non-returnable,
unless they are faulty or not as described. This does not affect
your statutory rights.

• If you wish to request a replacement, contact us as above.
We may request additional payment to
cover the cost of postage and packaging. If we are unable to replace
the item(s) immediately, at
our discretion you may select alternative items or, for eligible
goods*, you may request a refund,
provided the goods are returned within the 7 days stipulated. If
we have to make a special order
with our own suppliers in order to provide a replacement, except
where the original item was
faulty, there is no right of refund on the replacement item(s).
• Refunds of eligible goods* will usually be made within 2
working days of safe receipt in the
condition specified above, provided they were despatched within
the 7-day time limit specified.
• Any refund will be made to the same credit card or debit
card used for the original purchase.
Please note that we cannot refund the cost of postage unless the
item was faulty. The full cost of
postage will only be refunded where the entire order was faulty.
However, we will refund the cost
of returning the faulty item by the most cost-effective, insured
method i.e. usually Recorded
Delivery for goods to the value of £32, Special Delivery 1pm
for goods up to £500 in value. We
cannot refund shipping charges for orders outside the UK.
• Any returned goods must be properly packaged to prevent
loss or damage in transit, and must
include the Returns Authorisation number in the package.
• If goods are damaged or lost in transit, it is the sender’s
responsibility to make a claim on the Post
Office or shipping company. No refund nor exchange can be made if
the goods are not received
by us. If you need to make a claim against your own shipper/Post
Office, to assist in this process,
we will be happy to provide additional copies of your invoice on
request.
• You are recommended to obtain proof of posting when returning
goods. Any goods returned to us
after the 7 day period has lapsed, but within one calendar month,
may incur a restocking fee of
50% of the purchase price, unless you can provide proof of the despatch
date. Any refund can
only be made on receipt of eligible goods* in good condition (as
stipulated above). Any
restocking fee will be subtracted from the refund amount. The original
order’s shipping costs are
not refundable, unless the entire order was faulty. Returned goods
received after 30 days are not
refundable, and can only be returned to you at your own cost (non-payment
will result in the title
of the goods returning to Cotswold Kids and you will have no claim
to them or their value, and no
refund may be made).
