Kids Shopping Guide
This is the small print, but please take a few moments to read it,
as it will help you achieve a successful shopping experience here
at Cotswold Kids.
The on-line store is an extension to the Cotswold Kids shop. Much
of the stock is available for one season only and in limited sizes
and quantities. Therefore, although stock levels are updated as
frequently as possible on the site, an item you order might not
necessarily be available. If you wish to call the shop during opening
hours, we will be happy to confirm availability of the items you
would like and ensure they are reserved for you personally.
If you wish to use our on-line shop to browse but do not wish to
order on-line, we are happy to take your order entirely over the
telephone during opening hours.
On receipt of an on-line order, we will normally email confirmation
within 1 working day. See Shipping Details for costs and delivery
times.
For those items that we carry year-round stock, or where we place
special orders on your behalf (eg. heirloom christening gowns),
if the item is not actually in stock at time of ordering, we will
email you the estimated date of delivery.
You will not normally be charged for any item in your order until
it has been shipped. However, in the case of special orders (eg.
customised items or christening gowns), we will require a 50% deposit
of the price of the item(s) and will advise you of this in your
order confirmation email. Postage will be added to the final balance
for payment on shipment.
For any items that are required by a specific date, please state
this in the ‘Comments’ box, so that we may manage your
expectations accordingly, and give you the option to cancel, should
circumstances outside our control prevent shipment in good time.
SIZES
It is not always correct to assume that the age quoted for a garment
means the garment will fit every child of that age. Where possible,
we also give the weight and/or height alongside the age for that
particular label, but of course other measurements could also be
crucial (eg. waist). Therefore, customers are advised to provide
additional measurements in the Comments box at Checkout. We will
then get our tape-measure out and check the garments before shipping
them to you. Please include all relevant measurements for the garments
ordered i.e.
Height, Chest, Inside Leg, Waist, Head circumference, Under-arm
to wrist (for sleeve-length) etc.
RETURNS
We hope you will be delighted with your products. We also hope you
will have taken the advice outlined in ‘Sizes’ above,
to minimise the need for returns. However, should an item be the
wrong size or the colour not as expected, please advise us by email
and return the goods either in person or, for your own protection,
by recorded or special delivery (insured for the purchase price),
WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS OF RECEIPT. The items can only been returned
if they are in original, resaleable condition, with tags intact
and no damage. We regret that we cannot refund postage for these
types of returns.
If you require an alternative size or colour, or would like to exchange
for other goods, let us know a.s.a.p. so we may check availability
and reserve items for you. We may need to make an additional charge
for postage of any replacements. Otherwise, we will credit your
payment card with the purchase price once the items are safely received
in good condition (as specified above).
For faulty goods, if we cannot supply a replacement, a full refund
will be offered, or you may select other goods at your discretion.
COLOURS
Due to differing quality of computer screen resolution, graphics
cards and the limitations of digital photography in a shop rather
than studio environment, the colours of any items displayed may
vary from the actual colour of the garment itself. Cotswold Kids
cannot accept any responsibility for this, or accept any liability
for any loss/inconvenience incurred.
DELIVERY SERVICE
Cotswold Kids cannot accept any responsibility for late delivery
via third parties.
PAYMENT
Most debit and credit cards are accepted, except Diners Club and
Electron cards (the latter is accepted from personal shoppers in-store
only). Discover cards are not accepted in the UK, sorry
If you wish to pay by postal order or internet banking please contact
us; we will advise you of shipment of your order once payment has
cleared our account. Sorry, we cannot accept cheques.
If you wish to pay by card but prefer not to send your card details
via our website, please telephone the shop. We will need the full
card number, start and expiry dates, issue number (if applicable),
and the security code (last 3 digits on the reverse of the card,
or for American Express cards, the numbers on the front). We will
also need your full billing address with postcode – this must
be the address to which your payment card is registered.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Cotswold Kids will always strive to meet and where possible exceed
your expectations. However, there will be situations where circumstances
outside our control mean we may disappoint (especially where we
rely on 3rd parties, whether they are suppliers or a delivery service);
please rest assured we will always do our best to communicate any
problems proactively.

UK
Standard First Class Recorded Delivery (3-5 working days*) - £4.95
Royal Mail Special Delivery (up to 2 working days*, depending on
shipment date)
£6.95 – please advise if you are on a deadline.
Note that some areas of Gt Britain and Northern Ireland may have
restricted service or additional charges, and we will advise you
separately by email should these arise.
Europe
International Signed-for Service, usually between £8 and £15
– we will email you to advise.
International & BFPO - we will email you to
advise.
SECURITY and PRIVACY POLICY
If you choose to pay by debit or credit card, your card details
are encrypted and stored securely only for as long as is needed
to process your order (payment is made via our terminal in the shop,
not on-line). Once payment has been taken, your card details will
be deleted. This means you will need to provide your card details
each time you order, but we are confident this will reassure you
of our best intentions on this matter. At no time are your card
details stored on the Internet. This also means that we will need
your card details again if you require a refund.
Your personal details are stored securely and used only by Cotswold
Kids for the purposes of processing your order, and, if you sign
up for them, to receive newsletters. Email us any time should you
wish us to remove your details from our database.
