SHIPPING CHARGES
- Our maximum charge for non-urgent UK
orders under £60 is £4.95 (we will charge less if the item costs us signficantly
less to send). For Special Delivery 1pm or UK orders >£60 the
maximum charge is £8.95 (any orders sent Special on Fridays for Saturday
delivery incur an additional £3 charge). Again, if the package is light in
weight, we may* charge only at cost and this deduction will be made on shipment.
UK full-price orders over £100 are sent post-free*. All deductions
are discretionary for customers not paying by Paypal, and are made when we
finalise your payment. Overseas shipping prices are estimates
and we will advise you of the actual cost - which could be lower or higher
than shown. We will inform you if the cost will be higher before
processing your order. If you qualify for free postage, this is based on
retained goods and we reserve the right to deduct our postage costs, should you
return a substantial part of your order for refund.

The new Travis dressing-up catalogue will be
loaded on our website soon, offering a wide range of dressing-up outfits, from
fairy dresses, princesses, mermaids and ball-gowns for girls, to knights,
wizards and pirates for boys, several up to age 11.
There are some
cute outfits for toddlers too, including an adorable bumble-bee and ladybird.
And you'll find some great accessories to match: the must-have wands and party
shoes, and some of the outfits, like the pirate, come complete with extras such
as hat and cutlass!
Christmas and Hallowe'en are well covered, with some
truly fantastic costumes for parties and Trick or Treat, much better quality
that you would find on the High Street -costumes that will last and not fall
apart. The sequinned ball-gowns are so special that many brides choose them for
maid-of-honour, bridesmaid or flower girl dresses, and the matching bags make a
great gift.
Our dressing-up range is usually available by mail-order
only, but we are happy to order any style for collection from our Witney-based
store, if you prefer.

children's clothes, including Sarah Louise, Dani, D'arcy Brown and Mayoral.
Although there are fashionable elements, these labels are renowned for their
timelessness, quality and value. Sarah Louise always has a range of beautiful
smocked dresses, some available as sets with frilly pants, and we also stock the
Sarah Louise frilly pants in white, ivory and pink, to match most outfits. Sarah
Louise has a fantastic catalogue, and although it is not possible to stock
everything at Cotswold Kids (our current Sarah Louise stock is usually on our
website), customers are invited to look at the Sarah Louise website
www.sarah-louise.com and, subject to availability, we would be happy to order
any item for delivery to you usually within one week. We can also add you to our
mailing list and ensure you receive each new season's Sarah Louise and Dani

well as the traditional smocked dresses, Sarah Louise always has a fashion range
each season, and is famous for its tailored winter coats and party dresses, as
well as christening and first-communion wear; there's also a range of bridesmaid
dresses and Noel Bryan suits or trousers and blazers, with shirts, ties and

Sarah Louise is
a label that is particularly famous for smocked dresses, but it's not just
dresses in their collection - you'll also find rompers for boys, skirt & top
ensembles and fantastic knitwear too. So you'll be sure to find
something for your little princes and princesses!
Another label famous for traditional clothes for boys and girls is
Pretty Originals. We hold a limited amount of stock of the baby shoes, and, like
Sarah Louise, you may check out their website www.prettyoriginals.co.uk and we
can order on your behalf.
Little LInens offers classic summer shirts and shorts for boys,
plus cotton-knit tank tops, and gorgeous dresses and knitwear for girls,
up to 13 years of age.
Hand-knits from Nepal by Club Himalayan, including cotton
cardigans and jumpers which are suitable for wear all year round. A new
winter collection of hand-knit wool cardigans and hats lined in fleece, with
matching scarves, gloves and mittens. Fair trade goods.

At the end of each season it's sale time! Of course, we can't
guarantee a huge choice, as many people choose to buy their favourite items
early in the season, to be sure they get what they want for their
children. However, the Sarah Louise sale, the Dani sale, the D'Arcy Brown
sale and Mayoral Sale usually start at the same time - with reductions
mid-season and clearance sale towards the end of each season. So for cheap Sarah
Louise smocked dresses, cheap D'Arcy Brown, cheap Mayoral and cheap Dani
clothes, come to Cotswold Kids at sale
time. The Pampolina sale and general kids fashion sales
usually start at the same time. For Sarah Louise bargains, cheap cashmere
children's coats, Mayoral baby sale and designer childrenswear sale of Pampolina
and cheap christening gowns, come to Cotswold Kids and you'll get a great price,

christening wear sale. Choosing Kids Clothing - Tips and
Hints
When we become parents we take on a mountain of
responsibilities and one of these is choosing clothes for our children. Long
gone are the days when our only sartorial concern was how to dress ourselves, as
parents are not only responsible for their own wardrobe, but also their
children`s. Unfortunately, any parent will be able to confirm that clothing
children can be a tricky business, as not only do children need different things
from their clothes than adults, but they also have a (rather inconvenient)
tendency to grow out of them pretty quickly! With that in mind, here are a few
handy hints and tips to keep in mind when buying clothes for your little
ones…
If you are buying clothes for infants who are at the crawling
stage, then durable items are a must (particularly around the knee area!). For
little boys trousers made of materials such as cord or light denim are ideal, as
these are robust materials that will be able to endure crawling. A good example
of an ideal pair of trousers for crawling toddlers are the cord trousers.
When it comes to little girls, many parents like to put them in dresses, however
this is not practical for crawling and can prove both uncomfortable and
frustrating for an active toddler. Instead playsuits such as the Hatley pink
bears hooded all-in-one playsuit are ideal and just as cute!
Once
toddlers are walking the things they need from clothing are very different,
particularly when they are potty training. Boys are best of wearing separates
during potty training, as this will make removing clothes much easier for them.
Mayoral boy`s pinstripe Bermuda shorts worn with a t-shirt or jumper, for
example, is ideal. When dressing little girls, dresses such as the Sarah Louise
pinafore dress are ideal for the potty training period, as they are practical as
well as looking rather sweet! Dungarees are great for boys and girls
alike, but are often difficult to source.
Another important factor to
remember when buying children`s clothing is the pattern, print and colour of the
item. However lovely white and pastel shades may appear on the hanger, customers
worry they`re likely to become spoilt very quickly. This is why we
recommend Sarah Louise in particular as a brand, as the fabrics they choose are
easy-care and wash time after time, always coming up like new. Some
parents would instead opt for deep or bright colours and bold prints, such as a
Ruth Lednik stripey hooded sweater for boys. It is equally important to take
materials into consideration – children`s clothing should be practical and
durable, so we avoid anything that needs to be dry cleaned, except of course for
the classic Sarah Louise cashmere coats and reefer jackets! Opt for simple,
classic designs – this will make clothes more comfortable for your children to
wear and make will certainly make it easier for little ones to learn how to
dress themselves.
When choosing what footwear to buy your
children practicality is imperative, which is why Hatley rain boots are such a
great choice for little boys or little girls! Ideally buy shoes that fit but
that allow a little room for growth if possible and avoid anything that will be
difficult for little ones to get on and off their feet. Lastly, make sure any
shoes you buy your children fit them comfortably, as they`re likely to refuse to
wear anything that pinches their toes!
